How do I get involved?

The best way to get involved with KSUIF is by coming to our monthly general member meetings, which occur the first Tuesday of every month at 8:30pm in Franklin 340. You can also come to our office in Franklin 221 and say hello, there’s usually always someone there to answer your questions! You can also sign up for our email list, which will give you updates on all KSUIF meetings, events, upcoming projects, fundraisers, and hiring opportunities within our board and film projects. You can also email the KSUIF leader of student involvement who will answer any of your questions.

How do I pitch a project?

To pitch a project to KSUIF, you must come into our office (Franklin 221) and pick up a Film Project Submission Form, where you can then fill out your form and turn it back into us with a finished draft of your script. The president will then make anonymous pitches to the KSUIF board at the end of the semester and determine which projects will be selected for the next semester. Best of luck!

How do I become a crew member on a project?

To join the growing KSUIF crew, you must come to our website or office and pick up a crew member application, fill it out and turn it in. Once your applications have been reviewed, you will be invited to interview for a position. From there you can begin your filmmaking experience with us!

Can I join without any experience?

Yes you can! Everyone is welcome to join as a crew member to a KSUIF project. You can also attend one of the many workshops we hold throughout the school year. You can learn about specific film departments and positions, how to work equipment found in the Student Resource Lab, and learn about what steps are taken to make a film project!
